Introducing Morena Bella Skincare for Women of Color

By November 30, 2012

Follow me on:

It's a familiar story.  An African American entrepreneur had been searching for high quality, clinical grade skin care products formulated for women of color.  Not finding much to her liking, Alesia Alaziz assembled a team consisting of a phytochemist, dermatologist and other healthcare professionals and developed a cosmeceutical line with ingredients that would nourish, hydrate and protect brown and black skin.

Alaziz founded California-based Morena Bella Skincare in 2010.  The company name is taken from Spanish, Portuguese and Italian--morena (brown) and bella (beautiful) to mean brown beautiful female and the line is targeted to African Americans, Latina, Southeast Asians, Afro Europeans, Africans and Middle Eastern women of color who share something in common-- "their own uniqueness, something special to embrace and cherish--beautiful brown skin."

I tried out seven of the products in the line.  Find out what I think of them.
