My favorite beauty trend--the so-called "oxblood" red lipstick that is currently hot, is a color I've always worn. I call it brick red.
I wasn't crazy about 2012's hottest color--tangerine--at least not on me, but I did like it as a lipstick shade on others.
As for nail art, I love it--just not too much of it!
Speaking of nails, there was First Lady Michelle Obama's gray nail polish that caused a bit of a frenzy and Rihanna's 24K gold manicure. I didn't care about either nail lacquer, but the amount of coverage for those stories was fascinating.
