It's National Bubble Bath Day. (Yes, really). And after a day of research and writing, I really think it's a great idea to soak in a nice hot (OK, not too hot) bath.
I've reduced the amount of baths I take because I can't resist making them hot, which can be damaging to the skin barrier, resulting in dry, itchy skin and infections. Darn. Showers aren't as good for relaxation if you ask me.
Sometimes store bought bubble bath and gels have ingredients that are irritating or cause allergic reactions, so I've got a couple of natural bubble bath recipes for you, plus information to help you reap the benefits of a good long soak:
