Celebrity manicures and nail art has become nearly as big as the designer gowns, shoes, jewelry and makeup, so much so that E! had a mani-cam on the Oscars red carpet. Django Unchained star Kerry Washington showed off what she called her "Olivia Pope" nails (named for Washington's character in Scandal). The CND Shellac manicure was topped with "layers of sparkles," by a manicurist named Lisa, Washington told E!
Once again makeup artist Carla Gonzalez did Washington's makeup, which is basically the same look as for the Golden Globes, but with colors to complement the embellishments on Washington's gorgeous coral Miu Miu gown. Gonzalez used Giorgio Armani Maestro #10 and Giorgio Armani Fluid Sheer #11 on her face, with Lancôme Blush Subtil in Brilliant Berry on the cheeks.
For Kerry's eyes, Gonzalez used Lancôme Color Design 5-Pan Shadow and Liner Palette in Sienna Sultry and finished the eyes with Lancôme Hypnose Star Mascara. Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro 202 and Lancôme Rouge in Love in Rose Boudoir was used on Kerry's lips.
