Recently on The View, co-host Sherri Shepherd once again talked about how often she is mistaken for actress Octavia Spencer, bringing to mind the old "we all look alike" saying.
It happened again at the 85th Annual Academy Awards this past Sunday.† Now the comedian just lets people think she's Octavia. (Hey, if I were mistaken for an Oscar-award winner, I'd do that, too. It might get you into the Vanity Fair party!
While online, searching for an image of Octavia Spencer, I saw a few photos labeled with the actress's name and...wait a minute...that's not Octavia Spencer, that's Sherri Shepherd, I thought, and looked a little closer.† Yep, that's Sherri Shepherd all right.
Now to be fair, both of the ladies were wearing cream-colored gowns for heaven's sake.† So I can imagine a photographer asking someone whom the black actress in the cream-colored dress was, and being told, since it was the Oscars after all, that the celebrity in question was Octavia Spencer.† Further confusing the situation is the fact that Sherri Shepherd is now getting acting roles.† Oh, brother.
That reminds me, I never finished watching Sherri in The Help...oops, I mean Octavia, but I'd better get some rest instead so I'll be sure to get up to see what Octavia's up to on The View...I mean Sherri.† Wow, now I'm confused.
