Fashion designers Darlene and Lizzy Okpo are the daughters of Nigerian immigrants. The sisters created the William Okpo fashion label (named after their father) to make fashion with, according to the William Okpo website, a "modern feminine design with touches of masculine elements."
The makeup for the William Okpo Fall/Winter 2013 show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week was described as "bohemian and nomadic" by Janell Gleason, Global Artistic Director, Aveda Makeup, who designed the makeup look used on the models. Mexican painter Frida Kahlo is the influence for the look, said Gleason. It is a look for "the girl who is not afraid to be her natural self."
