Cat Eye. Taking a cue from the past, the eye makeup on the spring/summer fashion runways borrowed from old Hollywood glamour, with cat eyes and retro classic red lips. Makeup artist Kayleen McAdams channeled Sophia Loren and her "sexy Italian eyes" through her Oscar night makeup look for actress Sofia Vergara.

Others had a single wash of color on the lids with liquid liner framing the eye using a fine point or angled brush for a precise line with a small flick at the end. For a unique look, makeup artist Mary Phillips gave actress Jennifer Lopez a double-winged eye for Oscar night.

False eyelashes were added at the outer edge of the eyes for a full, gorgeous take on the winged look.

Flirty Lashes. Each lash is defined and feathery. To achieve the look, curl lashes then using the tip of the mascara wand, stroke mascara onto individual lashes (or in small sections). Take a look at actress Kerry Washington's lovely lashes.

Bold colors. There were some bold eye shadow colors on the runways, like blue as well as neon green, yellow, pink and purple. If this is too much color, use colorful mascara in blue, purple, emerald green and add a tint to lower lashes.

You can also add color with brightly lined eyes in purple or evergreen as seen on actress Viola Davis. Color liner can also be used for those who want to add vivid color, but are not quite ready for the bold eye shadows.

Soft, smoky eyes. The smoky eye is less intense this season. One look is metallics and soft smoky eyes, and lighter shades to achieve the smoked look like brown or navy.

Gold dust. Add a subtle gold sheen to the eyes, with eye shadow or a golden eye shadow primer or top blush with a touch of golden shimmer. Too Faced has an eye shadow primer and face primer to help you get these golden tones.

Defined eyebrows. There were bold eyebrows at the spring/summer shows, but for normal wear, try defined eyebrows, arched and well groomed.

Flushed and contoured cheeks. There were lots of nude or neutral toned blush on contoured cheeks, paired with bold lips or eyes. Place blush on apples of the cheeks add bronzer to contour, or highlight cheekbones in subtle shades of bronze and pink and coral pink for a flushed look and blend upward towards the temples.

Nails. Orange is the new gray. You'll see a lot of tangerine, and also expect a lot of blues, from ocean blue to teal and pastel nail lacquer colors like pink and purple. You'll also see shiny wet looks, nail art and twists on the French manicure.

Do you have a unique nail art design, show it off here.

Luminous skin. Skin will have a dewy, luminous look achieved with foundation mixed with lotion, or skin luminators as highlighter for cheekbones or an all over radiance as seen on Jennifer Lopez at the Oscars.

Lips are creamy or matte. Opaque or matte finish in spring colors especially in pink tones from subtle and romantic to edgy neon and hot pink, plus nudes, coral shades and true reds.
